So i have an 81 cb650. The engine was froze when i got it so i pb blasted it, did all i could but colluded get it freed up. finally i cut the cam chain, got the top off and was able to free up the piston. the #4 was heavily rusted but came free easily. all other cylinders were clean and rust free. my question...now i have a rusted piston cylinder, I know i need to get the rust out, but can i do that by honing the cylinder or will i need to bore out. If I have to bore is it cheaper to get it bored and use 750 pistons or just get new/used jugs. i was hoping i could just clean and hone but there is a good amount of rust stuck to the surface and not sure i would be abel to get it out. any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
