Well im soaking it all up.  Once I inventory each part and learn what is what I will make my decision to build or part out.   I really appreciate the suggestions and opinions.   I have yet to post the details on the SandCast Only site and will really be listening to the experts.  One person mentioned something about Lotus Root pipes,  i guess i have 3 of them.   So one pipe has been replaced with another non Lotus non stamped.    interesting stuff for sure.

Listen to Keith - Don't part it out, it's worth more as a whole.   Which lotus root pipe are you missing ?    I have one hanging in my shop but can't remember off the top of my head which pipe it is.

i havent checked the tank yet.  The cases look rougher than normal, so im not sure really.   This is listed in the sandcast only club sight under the original owners name.   Im just doing my searching.   thanks guys!!  Now do i part it out or build to keep.   This doesnt happen very often, if ever again.

Does it have the original carbs or are they in the owners bedroom? LOL...
Many owners sell the motorcycle, but keep the carbs until they are ruined from sitting.

Just found this thread. Very nice find. What did you decide to do with it?


My sandcast is a very low three digit sandcast but mostly incomplete.  I figure I need to spend at least $8000 on parts alone to bring it to a high level restoration. This will be a long term project and I'll only start if I have all the parts. I'll never sell it. When I found it I walked around with a smile for two weeks.

I just finished my Garage.  Now i can start the process of making sure i have everyting.  I think i will mock it up and then go from there.   I will restore it.
