CB750a engine swap
« on: October 24, 2014, 07:47:03 AM »

New poster here. I am looking at a CB750a and am thinking towards the future. I am wondering how difficult it would be to swap the engine with a K or F? I can't seem to find any threads where this had actually been done by someone here, though I could have overlooked some. The bike looks very nice, but hadn't planned on a hondamatic, so I'm trying to decide if I should continue to look or look at it as a bigger project for later.

Standby...Currently putting a K engine into an Automatic frame for a street drag bike. In a crunch for the build so I don't have thread started but check more in the performance section. Additionally F model engines seem to be the preferred way to go(something about bigger bearings).
And while apparently anything will 'fit' not all combinations 'align' properly drive line wise. Again I'll be posting in the performance section with the Bill Benton crowd....

Thanks for the initial info. I think I missed out on the one I was looking at. Wasn't wild about the idea of swapping engines either.
