...but the tank is damaged on the right side
Picture please?

Looks like someone pushed it out, I know it could be PDR'd, but the rust bothers me.  I like nice paint...

Maybe somebody dumped it, scared them, and never rode it again hence the low mileage. Color wise looks like my 400 is down to the "flair silver pearl" Where the heck did the green go --    :D

Uh, yeah! Some really bad creases in there. Looks like some filler above and between S-A too.

When you're ready, send it along. I'll get that straightened out for you, shoot some spot primer to hold you until repaint. Same deal as last time is good with me.

No filler that I can tell.  I didnt really think that last deal was so fair, Cal!

Yes, could have been dumped, the bars have been changed. No other damage through and it rides straight and feels solid....but I've only hit 70... so far.

#$%*in' about a forum discount! Alright, 50% off then. Geez, you're a tough negotiator.

From the pictures, it looks like there's some air holes under the clear, in the dent, top half, just above the black spec at the bottom of the bowl. Looks like some filler that cured poorly then was sprayed.... Could just be the picture?

No, those arent air holes, almost looks like they used something pointy to push it out?
Thanks for your opinion.

Somebody did try to push those dents out, the pick marks are obvious. Maybe I'm seeing tap down marks at the top. Whomever tried to work on that thing mucked up an absolutely beautiful bike.

Whenever you're ready, send it along. After you paint it, it will be stunning again.

My thoughts exactly.  I have a spare tank but the inside is not as clean.  The bike is cleaning up nicely, but cosmetics will take a back seat till I get it running 100%. Thanks Cal.

Ok, back to the program, next up Cb400F.    I wanted one at one time 'till I saw one at a vintage bike show. It seemed like a small toy bike and I was turned off.  (No offense to 400 owners).  M sure it's a good bike.

Here's a 750 H2 Steve that does not get much better than this, unless the year or color is a turnoff. I like it very much. Original owner, low miles, great condition etc etc.. Wonder what it will go for ??  http://www.ebay.com/itm/251691875326?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Yes, very nice.  Could live with the color (not my fav) but not the $10K price tag.

If you're interested in a rear fender, you can have mine. I decided long ago that it won't be going back on mine.

Back to the program, next up is this Triumph TR6.   My brother wanted a Triumph (Bonneville) but never bought one, and I've never ridden one. Am I missing anything?

That links not working for me Steve :(
I've had Triumph Bonnevilles (a T120 and a T140ES), a Daytona and my current old twin, the Norton. Gotta say the Norton wins on all fronts, particularly handling. Early Triumph frames weren't the best.
