400F clutch adjuster ?? Found one thanks.
« on: October 28, 2014, 07:37:46 AM »
My 76 400F is missing the clutch adjuster that threads into the engine, they are discontinued and the po lost mine. I'm thinking a step drilled bolt would work fine, 10 x 44 mm. Not having one to look at, does this sound like a viable option?
  link didn't work.

Yeah that thing is a bugger to find. Seems like you could make one yourself as noted. But before you do -- call David Silver Spares and ask them. It's not listed on their site, but they are up to their necks in 400f stuff after restoring all those bikes in the past few years. I bet you if you ask nicely they can source you one. That's what I would do.

Thanks Vames. I have a big order en route from there now. A few parts were on the us site but located in England.  It appears they were used on the 200 maybe more.
I considered drilling the case and using a 750 cable but the one I have is too long.

Well, I typed the part number into ebay and got one for $14 shipped. Should have it friday. Maybe I'll make a few when I get it.

My 4into1.com cable came with an adjuster for the case...

I located a new one at Phil Denton engineering a couple of years back. They make quite a few parts for Hondas.
