I'm 36  and just have my M1 (toronto). Jevco quoted me at $801/year.  They said next year it will go down to $535/year assuming I have no claims.

Our Dollar is worth 4 cents less than the US$ I'm surprised your insurance is so low. Nice

Government insurance isn't always what it's cracked up to be either, the people quoting the rates in BC are quoting rates for liability only. If I had full coverage on a 800cc bike in BC it would cost more than a $60,000 SUV. I have every discount including over 65 and would pay around $650 for a 750cc bike in BC, liability only, no fire, theft, or collision. I don't consider that cheap!! In BC the type of bike has no bearing on basic insurance costs, only the displacement. What's good in BC is the "collector" plate system, for expample I pay $100 a year for my 73 CB750, that's basic liability only. I have a few bikes and get no discount for multiple bikes. Not compaining though when I read what you're paying in Ontario.

Just renewed my policy with Jevco $465.
'78 CB 550K fixer-upper. The bike needs work, I sure don't!
