Still making progress. Got side tracked due to a wheel bearing issue and sourcing the part lcoally. Ended up going to three different O' Reilly Auto Parts store in 3 different nearby cities til i had all i needed to install in the rear wheel. Rolls great now.

Going to install the oil pump and pan tomorrow along with the air lines. Hope to get to the nitrous nozzles and lines afterwards.

Piece by piece, step by step. Still a long list left but she's closer than before.

In a holding pattern right now. I'm away in Oklahoma for a conference til the end of next week. I'd rather be in the shop finishing the bike.

A friend ordered some new header springs for the pipe for me while I'm away. Should be at my office when I return. I'll be able to put the oil pump, pan and pipe on when I get back. All else should fall into place then. Got the granddaughter this weekend so no progress while she's here. I want to spend as much time with her as possible. The bike will get finished by the end of next week. Shooting for testing on the weekend after that at a local 1/8th mile track. I'll make a few passes initially to sort out the bike and then turn it over to the wife to do her thing.

A little more progress on the bike. I got the nitrous nozzles installed and the carburetors on but not the gas line.

The hurricane has caused a lot of problems workwise for me so I had to refocus my attention away from the bike. Flash floods and lack of power in SC.

A few more things done on the bike. Not the most productive weekend but the header is now on minus the meg. The oil pump and pan are on also. I'm hoping the flash flooding will pass so I can concentrate on the bike instead of issues at work. I'm still plugging- one piece at a time. Still shooting to finish at the end of this upcoming week.

I hate not being able to find the time to get this one done. I've never taken this long to build a bike from the ground up, so I'm hoping this one turns out well. I've got to get it right the first time since the wife is the one to ride it. At the very latest, this bike will be ready to race in Valdosta in November.

Got the bike fired up over the weekend. After some fine tuning, she sounds good. Still trying to resolve my clearance issue with the megaphone for the sidewinder. The welder friend of mine wants to cut the header and extend it a bit so change the rear angle so the meg will raise up enough for at least a 2" ground clearance. Sure hate to cut on the header but its about the only solution. I might have to get our local forum expert, Jim French, to dress up the welding if this doesn't turn out the way I want it too.

Testing coming soon. I'll make a few passes to get the chassis dialed in and then let the wife make her pass. I'll post her time slip on this thread to see who comes closest on their projected ET.
