Picking up a 1980 CB400T *pics added*

I am picking up a 1982 CB400T tomorrow to take a couple of odds and ends for my 1977 CB750K.  I don't really have a use for it other then the few parts I need because I am sure almost all of the parts wont be interchangeable  I am told that it is almost complete, but I will know more details once I get it.  Are there any part you guys need?  Maybe trade for parts for my bike?  I'll post pics about this time tomorrow.

I've got a 78 with an egine from an 82. I might be interested in a part here or there. I'll double check to see if I'm needing anything.

Turned out it's a 80, not an 82.  It's been picked over pretty thoroughly.  I am the third or fourth person to get it as a "parts bike."

The guy said the engine has good compression, but how can you tell on a bike that is not running? 

Let me know if you guys can use anything off from it.  I may just end up using it as educational tool.  Strip it all the way down and get a hands on knowledge and understanding of the inner works of a motorcycle.

you can still use a compression guage.  basically, you stick a tube in the sparkplug hole and crank it over a couple of times.  you're looking for something over a hundred at a minimum.

the first bike i got--pretty much that one, actually--had an engine with a blown piston.  we just replaced the engine, then i used that one for exactly what you're talking about.  just took it apart piece by piece to get an understanding that you can't find in a book.  maybe, i should move on and try to put it back together next.
