Ride my bike?
« on: November 03, 2014, 06:13:19 PM »
I am pretty new to motorcycles in general, and especially so to my CB750; I don't really have a feel for what it should sound like, how it should accelerate/idle, what the handling should be like, etc., so it is hard to know if anything is wrong. So... I would love to meet up with some fellow members and have them give my bike a whirl, and help me see if there are any glaring issues or just maybe some small things/maintenance that i should do. I just joined this forum and live in the Dallas area - look forward too meeting some folks.

First off welcome to the forum!  I'd love to take your bike for a ride as it is freezing cold up here in NY.  I am sure you will have other lining up to take it for a spin.

One tip for better acceleration is to roll on the throttle and she will build up steam nicely.  Opening her up all at once does not do much at all.

Welcome - I'm just up the road in Denton - if you want to make the trek to Denton, I'll give your bike a once over.  I have 2 runners that you could also ride to give yourself something to compare yours to as well.   PM me if that works

Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.
