Got some work done on it today. First picture is the fairing and sissy bar off. Second one is where I ended the day. Does anyone have a recommendation to an aresol cleaner that I can use for cleaning the frame up. There is lots of rust residue and o oil all over the place.

Looks better already. WD-40 is actually a pretty good cleaner that you may already have.

I usually wash them down with a hose and degreaser before I tear them down too much weather permitting. In the winter time its elbow grease with a rag. Kerosene is pretty good at cutting off the first layer of major goo with a follow up of other commercial cleaners like Greased Lightning etc. Lacquer thinner is a favorite also and smells good also, mixes well with my whiskey  ;)

PS-Remember to save those front turn signals off that fairing to re-use per my earlier post.

Yup I kept the turn signals and the headlight lens. After removing the fairing I found that I need the rest of the bucket assemble. The present bucket is broken. Next step for me is to remove the pipes. I'm also in need of a rear and front fender. Both were pretty bent. Looks like I'll need some elbow grease to get this thing clean.

Gosh, the fenders don't look that bad on the pics. How bad is the dent? I have a good chromer up here that does wonders.
