What's your favorite bike?
« on: November 05, 2014, 05:30:35 PM »
What is your favorite bike and why?   Specifically, the fav bike you NOW OWN.

For some of you, it may be easy, your fav bike might be your only one.  For others, with multiple bikes, it may not be an easy decision.  Someone recently asked me this and it got me to thinking.

My favorite Honda is my '74 CB750.  It was my first 750 (that ran), is punched put to 836, has always run great and never let me down.  It handles great and is a blast to ride.  It is one bike that I would not consider selling.

What's yours?

That's a tough one Steve. Honestly it's hard to pick a favorite. I have become rather fond of my naked 77 GL1000. The smoothness, quietness and good power are hard to beat. And I still like my Wide Glide. Been a great bike for about 15 years. But I'm a CB750 guy when all is said and done and my 750K6 was my first Honda I got when getting back into the sohc4 world in 2009 after being absent from it for over 30 years and this bike has never given me a minute of trouble. So if I have to pick a favorite it would probably be it.

My 77 cb750 F2, my wife and I took it to the dragons tail this summer and as we were parked at the resort my 750 was surrounded by full dress HD's and goldwings as well as sportbikes but yet my 750 even with it in desperate need of a paint job it got most of the attention. One of these days though I want to get me a v-max.

That is a tough one there Steve...you would think I would say a KO, but I really like my K3...all OEM including the paint and chrome. Got it with 5,300 miles and she runs perfect and looks great. I do like the color of the KO blue / green a lot though...then there is that candy gold...wait...what about the ruby red....man I like the sunflake orange. :)

I'm sure that was a very difficult decision with as many nice bikes as you have. Sometimes one sticks out as a fav and ya really dont know why.

The one running. A 74 cl450. Second is the '71 that I plug and play with. In December the '71 might get tagged and be favorite.
