Interesting..............that looks very similar to the stater and rotor from a 250 or 305 twin ;D

Which is also very similar to the stator and rotor off the early CB350 and the stator off the later CB350

Could a CB350 stator/rotor be adapted to the 750 and put behind a skinnier CR or thinned stock cover?  I'd love to make that mod happen on my project bike.

The 350 stator/rotor can run without battery, as can a lucas stator (single phase, which is what the cycle X kit is). The lucas rotors are not a tapered fit, but have a straight steel bore (it's a keyway connection, could get the size if someone wanted) and the CB350 ones are a tapered fit...might be the same as SOHC4 come to think of it....

Has anyone ever rigged this up to fit behind a CR cover?  I love that look and a thinned cover isn't that hard to make but the electrics that people sell are outrageously priced. A parts list of what is needed for the conversion would be super helpful.
