For me ...cb350k...carbs suck, ignition really sucks, oiling system blows, sure they look great and are heavenly when they run, but they don't like me and I don't like them...

...and yamaha triples xs750 et al  ...shaft drive is crap and how the hell does the 650 vibrate less and go faster, what an overweight turd

650 Yammie Seca-most any bike 400cc or larger could run circles around it and it got horrific gas mileage to boot. At least it didn't pollute thanks to governmental restrictions set in place during the era(mostly likely the cause of the bike's poor performance BTW).  Bike is long gone and hopefully been crushed so no one else would be subjected to it. Only plus is that it was fairly smooth...Larry

My least fav bike is my K7.  Bought it with a stuck motor for $300 from a cowgirl in San Antonio, freed the motor and just lost interest and it's sat ever since (3 years?). I am determined to get it running ... one day...and will dump it.

Not a road bike, but air cooled Yamaha racers such as the TR3. Bloody seizure prone tempremental buggers. OK if everything was spot on, but any issue with jetting and you needed to have two fingers on the clutch and very quick reactions.

Had one seize under me at about 135 mph, luckily on a straight, but that very swift lock up of the rear wheel before I grabbed it still haunts me.

If a TR3 was bad, a TA125 was suicide, especially if some clot had "tuned" it.

The tank is the big difference, obviously it has the same basic motor.  I have a cool polished steel tank to put on it.  It will get done.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I am happy to pose these days. The courage (or stupidity) of that 20 year old self has long gone !!! As the man said, "Youth is wasted on the young".

Never ever have liked them..but I inherited a Bultaco...
I have however learned to live in a world with 2 strokes, and ran and liked my saws..but as far as bikes go..not a subject I give much thought....... Have to live with others having them..

i can relate to this ok , although i started racing slightly latter when race bikes were water cooled .
the worst bike i have ever owned was also a race bike , it was a tony foale framed tz 350 . bought new for me a sponsor that apparently wanted me dead
i crashed that bike about 20 times in a month , after i had finally killed the bastard we bought a harris tz and went back to winning again , what a piece of crap .

This one is easy! The worst bike I've ever owned was a 1972 Yamaha TX750 twin. What a piece of crap; leaked oil worse than a BSA, and was even more cold-blooded. It made the top 10 list of the worst bikes in the world, according to a motorcycle magazine article I read later.
I bought a factory manual and gasket set, and found that a large portion of the manual consisted of service bulletins addressing various oil leaks, and that the recommended repair usually included RTV silicone. I cut my losses after finding that some of the issues were virtually unfixable without a complete replacement of the motor.

I knew a guy who had one of those years ago that somehow it caught on fire and burnt. Sounds like that was a good thing !!

I forgot about that POS and the assessment as one of the worst bikes ever made is spot on.  I dreaded every time one came into the shop as you never knew what the latest problem of the day was.  I recollect the lower end slowly seizing on more than one bike, and they had only been in production a couple of years...Larry
