hello , so i am almost done with the porting, i had to buy a new/used block since my stock one had a few cooler fins broken. however on the new used one the sleeves have these dents on the sleeves, on the original sleeves there is no marks like this. should I swap my sleeves into the new/used block, or use the ones it came with. also how to pull out the sleeves? I read somewhere to heat the block in oven to 200 deg F, and push out.

You might want to try Dynoman for new OEM sleeves.

fire your oven up, wait for it to get up to temp, remove the o-rings on each cylinder, place block upright on your favourite baking dish and place lovingly into oven. crack a beer and wait to hear the block drop free of sleeves. reverse order for new sleeves.

will do thank you, so i finally found a rear wheel to match the front i am buying of a guy on here, here is a pix

i dont think they really look same though but it will work here is image of front wheel

the front one looks different color, its from a 78 GL. im going to be taking a part both wheels and cleaning, and PC the hub and put back together. also i found a rear set bracket from cognito moto. after talking to my friend he thinks that we can make that bracket and save me 80 dollars, he even said that we can make one with multiple holes for more adjustment. the only thing that I am stuck is the shifter linkage and brake. i found tons of universal rear sets that bolt to that bracket but no shifter linkage. is there a how to? i tried searching but no luck.

Happy New Year to all CB Lovers...
I have been pretty busy with the Holidays, but now its over I have done some work, I swapped the steering stem from the 650 to the GL, took apart front wheel so I can prep for paint hub. also thinking about drilling the rotors. also I have pulled out the piston sleeves out of the new piston case and about to install into the old one.
I have few questions about Rear sets. Can I use pretty much any rear sets for a cbr600/1000? I found a whole bunch on Ebay and other sites for different prices. I am bidding on this one, and wondering if I buy a set like this one how to connect to the transmission shifter shaft? I will buy rear set mounting brackets to mount em.

Ya no im not running a rear disc brake.  To change to a disc rear is really complucated since the frame is made for drum brake. To go to disc i have to run a different swing arm etc..
