Nipples 350
« on: October 14, 2006, 02:13:14 PM »
I had to post this since nip hasn't got around to it.
he has owned a 350/4 for a loooooong time but hasn't riden it for years, even after going to the trouble of getting it shipped to Australia. So I showed him this forum and he finally got his arse into gear. I include sections of an e-mail I just got from him.

Some great news !
The "Sack 'o Spuds" is going.
Had a few hassles with fuel blockages (rust in tank didn't help that one)
and got it going last Saturday night, had an orgasm, dusted off the helmet
(not related to previous orgasm comment), found the gloves, put the chain
on and went to go for the 1st ride in years. Half pissed and adrenalin
fuelled I held the clutch in and chopped it into 1st gear and "clunk".
Stalled. Clunk again, stalled again. @#$%ing clutch not engaging ! So
despondently I adjusted clutch numerous times to no avail.
Ended up it was that the plates had stuck together & a mate suggested to
push start so as to put pressure on the setup and "voila", last night Liam
gave me a shove and eventually I could hold clutch in and it engaged. Went
for a ride with no front mudguard, no back brake, no rego, no number plate,
no brake light for front brake, no headlight working on low beam, but I
went for a ride ! Gave Liam  a lift home and this morning gave Leanne a
spin around the block.
Two very scared little bunnies those 2 with such remarks as "don't go too
fast". Jeez, it's the SOS, it canna go fast, too frickin heavy !

Anyways that's my exciting news from Oz. Apart from I'm going to Hamilton
Island this weekend for 10 days so no doubt will have several knob ache
experiences so better pack the board shorts & leave the speedos in the
drawer.

Catchya,
Nip

There's that 'n' word again!

And I thought the post was about some '80s techno pop band.

I'm just rapt that he got it going. he has owned it for about 25 years and hasn't had it going for probably 20 years (he went overseas)  a friend here in NZ rode it for a while then one day I saw it in bits in his garage. We put it in a crate and sent it to it's rightfull owner in Aussie.

Hey, what do you need 2 brakes for anyway? Right? ;D
As long as you still have heels on your boots you should be ok.
