I've tried to "repair" some problems we're having with a 350F by replacing bad needle valves with some stuff I had in my carb parts box. Not working....
I'm still getting a funky idle and the #1 carb overflow tube is damp at the end and I can smell gas in the garage. This float valve was weak and I replaced it with a used one. This'll be the 3rd issue I've had with the float valves in these carbs. I'm ready to replace them but new Honda sets are ~$100 for all four carbs. That's not bad considering it's the same price I'm seeing for the Keyster kits.
I know the Keyster jets leave a lot to be desired. What about the float valve sets?
Should you always replace the valves and the seats as a set? If not, where can I find four new needle valves at a good price?
Or should we just bust out the Benjamin and get the Honda kit?
