Great build! The tank came out awesome!  I used a spring to support the rear of my motogp pipe. Cal advised this rookie too!

This is the first time i noticed how the rear of your swing arm mounts into the arm itself. That is slick Cal. Makes for easy removal of the rear wheel?

Going great! First ride was last week. She started right up with one kick after sitting all winter. Had to make some adjustments on the length of the rearset bar, as I was having a hard time downshifting.

More todos:

- Figure out kickstart lever. Slightly hits my rearset arm. Probably going to fab something up.
- Find a new left hand control that has everything on it. Not having a light on-off switch is bugging me, and I think this switch is actually defective. The "pass" button for triggering the high beam randomly works, and the horn button is not working. Checked the wiring a ton of times.
- Shorten rear brake lever. It's too long with the rearsets.

I used a K&L switch with a dedicated switch for flash to pass, and an "OFF"-"PARKING"-""ON" light switch as well as a "HI"-"LO"  This is used on my 750 with a Truck Lite LED.

That handlebar control is not going to allow a headlight "defeat" switch. The light is powered automatically the way that switch is wired, and you'll be hard pressed to disable it without changing to a 3 position switch (Off, Lo, Hi)

The "pass" function relies on a relay that you probably didn't wire in.

That switch has the Horn wiring "backwards" from stock Honda. Stock, the horn is powered by Black and the LtGrn sends the ground. Your new switch sends 12v when pressed, so swap the permanent ground wire to the horn, then power comes from the horn button.

Whoa, thanks for the specifics. Makes sense. I'll give this a shot.

It's actually K&S Technologies (not K&L).  I purchased mine on ebay.  Search for K&S 12-0030 (which is the specific model number).  They go for about $55 shipped.

This is what I have in mind for my cb500. I don't think I'd do the clip-ons though, I'd have to figure out some flat drag bars or something.  I'd love to know more about the gixxer front end. It really sets off the bike.

I think Cognito has some rise clamps to mount regular bars. You'd have to drill out the top triple though. As far as the gsxr setup, I took the easy way out with the Cognito hub. Some people machine their own stuff custom. Lots of people doing this these days it seems.

Do you recall which parts (make and parts number) you used to bolt up the GSXR rotors to your Cognitomoto hub?

Yeah, I actually screwed up and grabbed the wrong bolts the first time. They specifically need to be rotors and rotor bolts from:

2006-2007 GSX-R600
2005-2007 GSX-R750
2005-2010 GSX-R1000

Not sure on parts numbers. I got them from ebay. Found out the hard way that the 09 gsxr750 bolts are too small.
