Tank trim question
« on: November 12, 2014, 11:55:19 PM »
Looking to replace missing tank trim.

With reference to picture below what are these tabs for?

The after market trim seems to just slip on the bottom edge of the tank. Does the original use these tabs the secure the original trim?

This is what I am thinking of buying.

Ahhh. Makes sense now, mine have been bent fully the other way !  They looked like they were holding something internally...

Is there a preferred strip to use they seem to vary in price greatly?

The tank clips often bent inwards when the plastic trims were removed back in the days. I did that with my original tank after repaint.
Many sell new after market. I ordered mine from AC-motorradteile Germany together with Honda side cover badges OEM. Your link look similar.
