DOJ using small planes equipped with fake cellphone towers to hunt criminals
The U.S. Department of Justice is using Cessna aircraft equipped with fake cellphone towers known as "dirtboxes" to hunt criminal suspects. The plane can grab data from thousands of cellphones in a single flight, most of that information from non-suspects, according to people with knowledge of the program.  The Wall Street Journal (tiered subscription model) (11/13)
