I'm reading the news here that you have horrible weather in USA, snowstorm. Here still above freezing point. It might go this way to or we get it from Russia.

The U.S. Is a big place. Sunny skies here in CT. And by the way, jag förstår lite svenska. I was born in Malmö. I'm a proud dual citizen.

Approx 50% of the US is covered by snow right now, 10 people have died from that huge snow storm. However, I'll be riding this weekend in 70 degree weather, no winterization here.

I pay $60 for an antique motorcycle registration that is good for 5 years.

I used to live in Houma and in Galveston.  The weather was so brutal down there in the summer I could hardly ride.  There's nothing like a nice Spring or Fall day here in New England to ride for hours.  Now the 4 feet of snow we get does makes riding challenging.  Nicest place that I've ever lived weather wise for riding was Louisville, KY.

Looks like a group of stink bugs huddling in the corner trying to keep warm.

Its a sad day here in Massachusetts.  The Ladies are all asleep until Spring.

When I first got back into MC's in 2006 I stored my bike outside in a protected area of my condo's parking lot under a good quality cover (then as now, no garage at home). I gave it a good wash and wax, changed the oil, filled the tank and added Stabil and took it for a ride to circulate it. The turned off the tap and ran the carb(s) dry and pulled the battery for indoor storage.

The past few years I have been able to store my bikes inside at my sister's and in the garage of a friend's hardware store. But in general I still think storing outside is just fine if you prep it right. The downside is, when (unlike today) they were rideable bikes they were 50 miles (sister) or 4 miles (hardware store) away so on the inevitable sunny 50 degree day in February I couldn't just step out the door, throw the battery in and enjoy a ride.

I understand why you emigrated to USA :-)
I have been in USA some times and always got the feeling "I can live here"! Not much  free time, mostly working but I saw the surroundings.
Greenville, South Carolina -2 weeks in November, Rockord and Belvedere IL - 2 weeks in October November,  Auburn Hills Michigan - mostly spring
BUT, Coca Cola taste better here in Sweden. I think due to sugar in it here, not corn syrup as in US. I saw that on Discovery channel. Big Mac however, taste good here but much better in US. Plus all BBQ restaurants you hahve in clusters on all small cities!
South maybe too hot in summers, north too cold in winters and not the Hurrican alley. Not too big city and crime.... where do we land then?
You have planty of nice CB750 barn finds for low prices, another really good reason....

DaveBarbier,
Malmö is almost the southest part here, very close to Copenhagen Denmark. Live in Malmö and party in Copenbhagen, like a close surburb.

It was actually my parents. They didn't even ask my opinion! Yes, I was 2, but still very rude of them.

Two winters ago I was even more south in Skåne working on a goat farm. I was surprised that we got more snow and lower temperatures back home in CT that winter.

I said lite! Haha, had to use a translate app for most of this. I can't really see Swedish sounding Japanese, maybe because I've heard it my whole life.

And yeah, there's a lot of English spoken in Sweden. When I was there I tried to learn more by having the family I was living with only speak Swedish to me but they just kept morphing into English. They like to speak it. Come to think of it, they also has a really old German motorcycle that was covered in rust in a barn. That helped spark my interest of old bikes.

Put some of the bikes away for the winter today. Started them up one last time. Have a few others on the other side of the garage under sheets as well. Left these more in the open because of little things I can work on still throughout the winter.

Bonus points if you can name the bikes in the pics. Brushed steel tank belongs to my little brother. His first build @ 16 years old. Almost done
What seat is that? Or is it custom?
