CB400F Fuel Cap
« on: November 21, 2014, 10:08:09 AM »
Does anyone know of an aftermarket fuel cap door and latch that will work with the stock CB400F tank? I know Joker makes one but I'm not a huge fan of the style. I love the Monza but that would require modifying the stock tank. Any suggestions?

Thanks all!

Why not an OEM?

OEM is always an option...I don't mind the look of the original however this cb400f project isn't a restoration so I was hoping for something a bit more custom looking.

I saw this cap on this Salty Speed Co project and love the style of it...just wish I knew what it was.

Looks like someone got one of those (pointless) fuel gauge caps and replaced the gauge with a blank plate. Or it could still have the gauge - pic is not excellent.
Pointless because the gauge was astonishingly inaccurate, the float and chain were annoying and noisy, and the window degraded very rapidly.

Bodi, I bet you're right! I didn't think about that pointless fuel gauge cap. I wish they made that cap without the fuel gauge.
