ah but in ten years the mv will be worth half what you paid for it and the honda will be worth double .
on the other hand if you wait a few weeks mv will be bankrupt yet again and you will probably be able to get one cheap .

First, I'm comparing the Kawasaki. Second AMG Mercedes bought into MV Agusta so they are not going anywhere.

Depreciation on some models are minimal. Keep your Honda. You look better on it.

Nice multi page article Steve on the H2 (1972) in the latest issue of Motorcyclist mag debunking some of the handling etc myths and some insights on H1 quirks. Buy an early one or a 72 if you can as the later ones were tamed down a bit. Try to e-mail the article to you bigger if you want it.   Eric

Thanks, I'll pick that magazine up.  I don't believe everything I hear (read) about the handling nightmares, my Z1 is a good handling machine.  How's yours?

A '72 would be nice, but have you seen the price on those?!

$8K for this?  I could not own a bike this color!

No link says posting expired. My 900 handles fine, be even better with new fresh tires, but I am not a knee scratch-er.

They may debunk some handling "Myths" but i can honestly say that they didn't get their name the "widow maker" because they handled well. I rode a very nice gold H2 from a mates bike collection quite a few times in anger, in the early 80's, when both wheels were actually on the road it bucked and weaved like a wild bronco.... ;D :o  Far too much HP for the spaghetti frame...  You guys must remember, most of the articles that talk about the handling errors of these bikes, rode them pretty hard, not race hard, but hard acceleration through sweeping corners and such, for regular "sensible" riding you barely notice a thing.... ;)

Interesting to note according to the article that the first prototypes tested in the US were 650 triples and handled horribly and were later revised to 750 with handling upgrades.According to the article it sounds like the early 500's had their share of major handling issues  and could be considered a widowmaker also. Kawasaki made them to go fast in a straight line and create positive buzz for the company which surely was successful.

Wonder if they sold out first production yet.   :D

I better run down there next week. (I wish)

You can see these being bought up and resold for higher price.
