There are two different sized Seeley tanks, no?

Yes, 5.5 gallon and 4.5 gallon, I think the 5.5 looks more balanced {better shape} than the 4.5

The smaller tank looks a bit more boxier due to being shorter but same dimensions at the front..

Does anyone know what happened to the documentation from when these bikes were built?
Would love to be able to get more information about the history of mine.  I am sure other owners would like the same.

Dont really know where to start.

I first read about the 2 different size tanks on Axl's Seeley page 15 years ago, and always wondered why my two-seater tank held over 5 gallons?? ;D
Looking at the pics in the original registry, the tanks from 506-532 appear to be the same, although 506 looks shorter. Compare the distance from the rear of the tank to the junction in the frame tubes.
The tanks from 553 on have a faceted front, and may be wider at the top?

Many year ago I had a decent correspondence session going with Axl Griesman, founder of the www.satanicmechanic.de website, and I sent him a number of articles pertaining to the Seeley Hondas. He in turn gave me access to the library where he stored all this data.

Unfortunately he is no longer with us but his website is still up; I presume a family member is maintaining it?

Anyway, earlier this evening I tried the link he gave me then and that too still works! All that info is all still there - not just on the Seeleys but also on all the other specialist frame builders out there.

I have tried finding this data through the regular website links, on the left of the page, to no avail.

I have immediately downloaded everything there is on the Seeley Hondas. I'm doing this for posterity for who knows how much longer this site will be maintained? I don't feel particularly guilty about intllectual property issues because much of it comes from me; I can recognise my handwriting on the date and source annotations at the bottom of some of the pages and in many cases I still have the original hardcopy.
Over the next few days I will also copy everything that Axl collected on the other specialist frame builders. We can then collectively decide how best to preserve this material.
I have also sent an email to Axl's email address to see if there is some kind of response.

Steve, I just noticed your ignition switch mount is brazed to the frame. Mine is clamped on.

In all honesty....I think that I would prefer it like yours. It does get in the way when removing the top end and barrels. This being the 3rd one made....I assume they realized this and made the change somewhere between 503 and 519.
You can still do the deed...it just takes some finnicky moves.

Jag....yours probably had one but it was removed for racing.

I have the center stand lugs ...but one has been partially cut....I assume for exhaust clearance....it could be repaired, but I decided that I prefer not to have one. I use a block jack instead.

My sidestand lug was slightly bent....I was able to straighten it. This appears to be a weak spot on the Seeley frames.

That would be great.....I also need to fab up the three motor mount plates, but that should be easy enough to just measuring up the holes.

I could use the front.
