Yamiya 750 primary and cam chains
« on: December 03, 2014, 10:33:11 PM »
Hey everybody i had a question regarding a couple Yamiya products:

Are these any good? the primary chains from honda are almost $200 compared with theirs $52? same goes for the cam chain @ $34 (stock) or $51 (yoshimura type)  I know the Yen is very low and i hope thats the cause,  but Im just concerned these may be sub-standard parts?

Primary chains:

Thats a steal at $52.00!! HOWEVER I'm not sure where you've been pricing Honda US stuff at $200?? I just checked a day ago and ServiceHonda.com has the primary chain pair ( qty 1) at $95.24 which is a VERY good US price.

As far as the cam chain goes I did NOT price a stock chain since the heavy duty chains are much stronger and can be had cheaper. Go to Amazon.com and order the Tsubaki Camilla heavy duty chain for $30.66 with free shipping.

Thanks for posting about the primaries as I need to order a new set!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Yamiya is claiming the primaries and stock type cam chain to be genuine Honda parts.

The HD chains are better than stock Honda. The HD cam chain cost not much either. CB750 is a wellknown chain rattler. My engine has not much of rattle after last repair with new HD chains, cam and primary as well.

Yamiya Yoshi cam chain look like the Tsubaki HD chain that is the chain I have seen almost everywhere, used in my engine.

Primary chains only $52US set of 2 as TS found must be OK for a std engine
http://www.yamiya750.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21_63&products_id=95

My primary chains (Honda original) stretched from 65 to 67.5mm  in 31.000km's, 25.000 of them was touring, driving fast on highways with 2 slim persons and luggage (max load). Minimum of city driving with wild driving as my bike got a lot of before. 836cc, ported head, cam.

Check for other parts too when ordering from yamiya. They have parts difficult to find elsewhere (except for APE cyl studs that cost too much here.)
Like the knock and dowel pins that suddenly is damaged or missing

and the 8 oil channel special dowel pins +  when OEM type gasket is used

with

Yamiya has plenty of stuff to order! :-) gasket kit and seals too
I have ordered for some thousends of $.
Quick and good shipping, parcels not damaged at allc
