K6 Winter Upgrades

Hi All,

I'm looking to make some upgrades to my K6 this winter.



I already have electronic ignition with BolDor 3 ohm coils, bronze bushes in the rear swing arm, tapered bearings on the front and  double front brakes with steel lines.

I was thinking on mounting a Rectifier/Regulator combo, seems to be a plug and play system. Would anybody know if this works well with the "normal" lead/acid battery ?

Second I was considering of replacing the Fuse block with a Hondaman's or similar set-up.


Which other Upgrades would you recommend ?

Both of those electrical upgrades are sensible and do "plug and play". You didn't mention suspension condition? How's the ride front and rear?

From the picture, bike looks awfully nice...?

bought almost the same fuse holder off amazon for 9 bucks an reused my old plug.

Brakes and suspension are key upgrades to almost any bike especially these old CBs.

You might want to look into new shocks - Hagons, IKONS, Works or Race Tech (a sliding upward scale of price). Also, if you haven't rebuilt your forks, you may consider progressive springs OR Race Tech emulators and springs.

I was thinking of a similar holder. Make the connectors to the "old" wiring, make a bracket to fit the original mounting position, and ready to roll :)

My rear suspension is from a newer type CB750  ( KZ ? ) with Piggy Bags. I think they are gas filled ? not 100% sure
They are "stiffer" than the originals, I like how they feel.



Front suspension is stock.

Would progressive springs make a big difference ?

Thanks, I really like how she turned out, almost excactly how I had planned it  ::)

Got her from a Barn 2 years ago where she had sat for 7 years !
Full resto, powder coating, engine top overhaul, new tin's





The feeling I had drivingher from theNetherlands  to  the SPA Franchorchamp circuit in the Belgium Ardennes to go to the Bikers Classics was priceless !
