Jaw dropping WOW, I spent 1/2 hr oogling the pictures on the first page, then I found there were two more pages including a video! Looks good, no, looks great from here.

I think I'd ride that bike about 10 miles a year on parade duty.  :)

Edit: I'd repaint the gas tank as well.

I've been away from this post for over a week and I'm STILL jealous, Kevin...

See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

"I purchased the bike a few weeks ago ........"

buying - cleaning - selling....
Here we call tha commercial trading.

I hope, the initial owner who kept it for 30 years got a fair price for that bike.

I just noticed that.. I meant to write a few days ago.... I just fixed it on Ebay.   And if I really was a commercial trader I have 2 beautiful K0's in my garage that I believe to be worth just as much if not more money and I haven't sold them..  I am not sure what the original owner was paid but I am sure its not close to what I paid for it..

Here, we call that Flipping.  I would have at least cleaned the surface rust off the exhaust.

Its your bike and you can do whatever you want with it.

I am excited to see what it does on ebay. As mentioned before, I also saw the craigslist add and was going to do the same thing.

$5900 and counting with 6 days to go and reserve not yet met.  With mileage that low, it's certainly quite a find.
Good luck to you because that makes everyone else's bikes that much more valuable.

Great find! I was in the same boat with the 2 550s I picked up a few months ago. The really nice 76 550 was just that. To nice for a father of 4 with kids in and out of the garage non stop. I had to move it to someone who appreciates the bikes as much as I do. Now it is in the hands of a 56 year old gentleman.

I love some of the subtext in this thread that you 1) deprived someone who wants the bike of buying it 2) you're a greedy commercial flipper who has no respect for these bikes and 3) that you didn't clean it up enough.

Really people? Guitarkev seems like a standup guy doing what any standup guy would do. Sheesh.

Too funny..... I guess I made quite a stir around the sohc4 forum...The truth is I am very particular when it comes to the bikes I buy and I generally am only interested in unmolested pre-71 models, unless I find a real nice one with 677 miles.......

Not really.  We're just a little surprised, you post a thread about a "real gem of a barn find", and then it's for sale a few days later.  Most of us are not lucky enough to buy a barn find, and if we did, prolly wouldn't sell it if it was indeed a real gem.
