This Forum Rocks.
« on: December 10, 2014, 12:03:37 PM »
I've been a member of a lot of forums in my life. Some good, some meh.

Since I have been here and started my project (the most boring and least replied to build thread ever) and other threads, I have received above and beyond awesome help and advice from guys that don't know me personally, and it's just so refreshing to see people who will do that for other people. I live in a pretty self-centered city so it's nice to see outside of this little world every once in a while.

I read somewhere recently someone said that if people are being mean to you on this forum it is a good thing and if they're being polite you should be worried.. I don't know if I would say any of that is true, but either way I'm glad to "know" ya'll. If anything you guys do a good job of keeping BS'ers honest, and that's a good thing too.

I'm not sure if some of these guys want me to call them out publicly so I won't, but there are two members in particular who have been amazingly generous and thoughtful to me and I appreciate them for it.

Just happy to be here and looking forward to finishing my Dark Roast CB750 project someday. My parts list is long and the funds are short, so it's a long process!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I was similarly overwhelmed when I was new here, especially coming from the competitive TRD forums, and somewhat blunt but generally ok HD forums. By far the best online community I've known so far. My list of shoutouts has grown too large now, but I haven't forgotten a single one of them.

Thanks Cal. Mrs Ravie probably would say that. hahaha

Yeah, it's work. Nothing spectacular but it's work. Still trying to catch up. Th wife just took a second job at JCP for the holidays. We did manage to get a present for the big girl that even I am excited about, so that's good.

Looks like my grandma is short for this earth, too. We've been prepared for a while now. We lost Grandpa in June and knew she probably wouldn't be long after. Any moment now I'm expecting the call.

Anyway, I'll not muddle up this thread with sadness!

Happy Holidays!
