where to purchase stock air filter CB550k
« on: December 22, 2014, 03:32:27 AM »
hi can anyone help with where to purchase a stock standard air filter for a 1975 CB550k please?.   that doesn't  cost more than the bike is worth,  and do any other four filters fit the standard air box. ie CB400? the air filter I currently have has no hole in the bottom for the upright tube, that is in the bottom of the air box ( someone cut it down before I brought the bike)
cheers lynne

you can buy these filters, no problem. i'd look up the part number (for your model because no, they are not all interchangeable) and put it in google.
i'm sure david silver or cmsnl have them but there are cheaper places to get them, and probably ones that are more local to you.

There is an after market filter that drops right in. Any motorcycle shop should be able to get one for you.

I've been watching this one since July and it's yet to be in stock. The only other thing available is the Uni Foam Filter.

hi
thanks all for the answers.  I have done a fairly good hunt on the net.  Looks like uni foam is going to be the way to go. Cheers Lynne
