A flash from the Past !
« on: December 09, 2014, 07:57:37 PM »
Yes, I'm talking from the past for this is Bruce Giller, one of the founding members of this particular inclination to collect SOHC4 bikes.  Back then it was only a mailing list with a few rides up in the MD/PA/NJ area on weekends.

It all started when I asked on the rec.motorcycles list if any one had a set of sidecovers for my '76 750F.  Then it degenerated into sublime madness.... ;-}

I still have the original 750F that I started out with so many years ago.  I must admit that it has been languishing in the garage for way toooo long.  Last year I finally got around to replacing the tires, battery, changing the brake fluid (and making sure that they still worked correctly), coating the tank with Caswell, and of course, cleaning each and every carb jet.

And I did have to eventually buy sidecovers direct from Honda since the only time you'd find the in the 'wild' is if you find in them in a ditch by the side of road.....

Totally agreed....A big X2 sir. This place is invaluable for those who ride the sohc bikes.
We owe the founders of the group a debt of gratitude.

Bruce, it may have changed a little on you.  ;) Glad you're back.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
