Wish me luck!
« on: December 16, 2014, 05:17:58 PM »
I'm going to put my low mileage K1 on ebay tonight ,  hopefully it goes for more that $1000 ;).  The snow actually melted enough for me to take it for a quick spin up my driveway didn't want to risk the old tires on the road...  Runs and drives great just don't have the heart to put miles on it and also don't have the willpower to let it sit.....

After income taxes I bet you would do much better. Christmas bidding is very touch and go from what I have seen these last few years. GL !

+1 Sometimes people spend their money on buying gifts. Some people get money for Xmas, so it may be wise to wait till right after the Holiday.

Wish you luck flipping  bike you bought week ago? Why? You could have let someone who actually wanted the bike buy it.

The thrill of the hunt I guess.  Plus it didn't dawn on me that I would feel guilty putting miles on something with that low of miles on it.  And I am defiantly a rider not a looker so no sense in keeping it.  But actually my curiosity got the best of me whats something like this actually worth to someone I know for 6 grand I would keep the bike so if it doesn't hit my number I'll keep it .  Maybe put it my house as a conversation piece(my wife will really love that).......

Good luck Kevin !!!! I've met your wife a few times she supports you I don't think she'd mind if that's what you wanted. I hope you double your money!!! I love the hunt !!! You picked that up for what you wanted to spend and seller got what he wanted for it. You're both happy. If someone gives you what you want for it then your both happy again. I love it!!!!

The thrill of the hunt is all good I guess, but to me the real thrill would be walking out in the garage on seeing this gorgeous bike sitting there, wiping the tank and side covers down with a soft cloth, cranking it up and hearing that inline four pure, and throwing a leg over it and taking it down the road whether it had 676 miles or 16676 on the clock. I would have to savor the time and hold on to it for a while and enjoy having it, but that's just me ;) Anyway Kev good luck with the sale and I hope it goes to a good home.

I'll be curious to see if it stays in the States or goes overseas like so many other nice examples do if it meets the reserve.  Do you have international bidding on it ?  For me it would be a tough one to get rid of so quickly.  Good Luck on it, should be a very interesting market test.
