Front load Kenmore full size stackers, the dryer is on top. I never liked them anyway.

Yes Mo Mo the timer is attached to the rotateable knob on control panel that determines by where you turn it to as to how long dryer will run.

My wife fixed mine, she called the appliance parts depot and the guy's coming saturday to fix it while I'm at the pri showm in Indy. He's bringing a gas valve and misc other things that I'm sure it needs.

Just be sure you tell the repair guy (or your wife) that there's a cap on the cost (that you have to set) and not to cross that threshold.  There's a point where fixing it may not be a good idea.

If you need more help I've had luck chatting with a technician at appliancepartspros.com I think it was. Have your model number ready. They've helped me troubleshoot a couple appliances, all for free. Then they will get you the part number for the failed part.

Did you check to see if you were getting continuity on that round thermal sensor/fuse?  I had one go bad.  It was a pretty quick fix.

I cannot figure how to get to the back of it.  I took all the parts I could easily get to (element, fuse, thermocouple and overheat thingies) to an appliance shop-everything checked good...Larry

You do realize it takes two fuses in your house main fuse panel to run a dryer (one runs the drum motor, the other runs heating element) double check all fuses or breakers are OK before condemning your dryer.

I got mine fixed and a big fat bill. still less than the cost of a new one and it's working better. We'll see if it pays off in the long run. It's not as much fun as investing in an old Honda but my clothes are dry.

Big fat bill ?  It is  almost 100 just to come out, I can buy a new one for 300 plus tax.  Seems foolish to repair the old one...Larry

If you have not given up yet. I think your heating element is open?
If you got 120VAC ( with one probe to ground ) on each side of your heating element, that tells me your AC circuit is complete.
Now measure your heating element by unplugging your dryer from 220 AC outlet.
Put your multimeter to resistance X1, and measure across were you measured the 220. You should get zero or a very low resistance. If you measure the same as if your two meter probes were not touching each other, than your heating element is open. You can measure different parts of the coil until you find the break.
I bet you it is between one of the stand offs.
Good luck.

Already checked the element, reads continuity.  I do not have voltage to the element is the problem.  I DID GIVE UP, bought another dryer today, old dryer is sitting outside waiting for the first scavenger/scrounger to haul it away...Larry

Must be the season, our dishwasher just kicked the bucket :(

Part is 160 + shipping, washer 5 years old or more not worth fixing I am afraid.

Does Honda make dishwashers?:)

Called planned obsolescence Prokop.   New dryer was a tad over 300 with tax and 3 year extended warranty, 100 to just come out plus parts and labor. Certainly not worth fixing.   I did buy a no frills dryer btw...Larry
