Can anyone tell me what kind of handlebars these are?
« on: December 15, 2014, 04:33:59 PM »
Ive bee searching for awhile to figure out what these bars are called or where to get them, they look like drag bars but the middle is a lot longer and the angles aren't as harsh as drag bars. if anyone could help me out that would be great. Thanks

Drag bars are typically straight, those are unusual. MS has a pretty good selection including two types of drag bars...

I thought the straight ones were called broomsticks.

Definitely not M bars.  Got a set of those on my K8.
They could be drag bars. The straight width at the center is confusing.  Maybe the picture angle, too.
Bikemaster drag bars have a very narrow center area near the risers.
These might be EMGO brand drags, as they have much more width in this area.
Cool profile on these though.

I have a set like that on a cb900 I bought, the controls rub on the gas tank though. i'm thinking of trying cb400f or euro bars. Are yours spaced up?

Love them.  Less forward lean than clubmans and wider.  I forget the site I ordered them from.  Triumph specialist of some sort.  Here's an older picture.  No rise.  They lay nearly flat.

Goldarrow.  No, not M-bars.

Steering stop mod might be necessary, depending on your tank and preferred bar angle..fyi.

We used to call them "Western Bars" on the old SuperHawks. The stock 'Hawk bars were flat, but bent back like you would expect: for guys (like me) who suffered low-flex backs and had to sit higher, Honda offered the "Western" bar. It was like a 19mm (3/4") rise in an otherwise flat bar, and about 3" wider overall.

The thing I liked best about them: at 70 MPH, there was almost NO WEIGHT on my wrists, as the air lifted my chest by just the right amount and angle. I could tour all day with those bars, and did!
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Hey, Flybox: do those bar-end mirrors clear the wide K7 tank OK? One of my locals here has an issue with his tank, mirrors, and bars, wants me to help?

Mark,
My preferred bar position plus the mirrors would contact the tank without the 3/16" I had welded to the steering stops.
