Anyone Powder Coated a Sprocket Side Cover Before?
« on: December 20, 2014, 09:02:40 AM »
Hi Guys,

I want to refinish the Sprocket side cover.  I have it stripped, but there is a rubber seal that I don;t see how to remove, and even if I did, there would be no replacement available.

Has anyone disassembled one of these before?

I could paint it, but i would rather PC it if possible.

Thanks!

You can remove that seal and replace it. It should have the part number or dimensions marked on it. (Xmm  X Xmm X Xmm)

Awesome -

Best way to remove it?  Seal puller?  Does it go in from the backside?

Thanks!

I just did mine. That seal pops out with a flat head and a new one can be had from bikebandit or honda. I actually only cleared them in powdercoat to protect my distressed look. Ironic.

Thanks guys,

It did indeed literally pop out at a touch of the puller.  Although I am glad I asked anyway.

On to the PC booth!
