Cb550 clutch question
« on: December 27, 2014, 06:34:28 AM »
Rebuilt the clutch with new plates and springs, buttoned it up and now the linkage is stuck. When i push/pull on the lever that the clutch cable conbects to (engine side, not the handle bar lever) it doesnt move.

Ball bearing and clutch pin is is in there on the basket side. Cam and spring is correct on the inside cover side. The lever moves and actuates the mechanism inside the clutch cover when its not installed on the egine.

Are you supposed to bottom out the four bolts that hold the clutch springs to the basket? I have them pretty snug. Could that be the probem?

Any suggestions on what i should be checking for? Thanks.
