A little late posting this but:

Santa came early [Mrs Claus hates that!] and dropped off a brand stinkin' new Char Broil grill since my last one suffered that horrible fate.
I've used it a couple times so far and pretty pleased.

Plan to get a few 2" filets tomorrow....

Nice! I can see it now, a new BOTM thread (Barbie of THe Month). I nominate yours this month, Stev-o. Now, to get a second and an acceptance....

Not a bad idea, Cal!  Mick in Oz recently bought a Weber though, he might take the top spot this month?
I looked at them but couldnt justify the cost, he must have more money to burn than I?!

Excellent, 2 candidates! We are off to a better start than the original BOTM thread since nobody wants to put their bike up against SohRon.  :D

I second BOTH nominations!!!   ;D
They both look like winners to me.
Can I volunteer to be one of the judges that gets to sample the goods?

Eric

Well I suppose that we could start a Barbeque of the Month thread but the only stipulation is that Charlie has to be the Moderator.
Or I'm not playing.  ;D

If I was you

I've got a totally stock survivor, starting to get some mileage on it though. Thinking about putting in a big bore valve but still not sure what jetting I should run. What kind of propane you runnin' Steve ?  Read on forums that the Texas stuff burns hotter and makes them run better  ;)

Just my $0.02, but if it were me, I'd send it off to MRieck for some porting work on the jets before you add the big bore kit. I was having problems with running the cheap propane from WallyMart, but after Mike did his magic, starts first time, every time, and sears ribeyes like Paul Prudhommes fantasy.

I'll fire off an e-mail to Mike and get back with his suggestions and share the price quote.  Thanks Cal, appreciate that great advice and will also stay away from that Wallyworld stuff.

No WallyWorld propane for me!  Once this grill get broke in, I plan to get the afterburners ported and possibly switching to Natural Gas, then it's BTU's will blow any challengers away!

PS.  NO hotdogs on this puppy!

Shawn at Slinshot was researching a new line of products: BBQ fittings. I gave home 3 different stock sets to model his after, so hopefully when re-opens from Xmas break, they'll be online.
