This post should wrap this up as a "project" thread.  I got about 40 miles on it now and a few issues popped up.  I have some gas coming from one of the overflow tubes and my mirror fell off yesterday!  I've noticed a lot of those drain screws get chewed up on neglected bikes (the overflow and drain screw type).  I think that may be the issue.  I noticed yesterday the mirror was kind of limply hanging so I went to reposition it and it fell off!  Good thing it didn't happen on the road.  The tach bounces around too but nothing left that makes it a "project."

I got my electronic speedo all hooked up and working based on trueblue's thread.  I rode it to work one day last week and my friend said, "Hey, that's the bike from Purple Rain" when he saw it.  Apparently close but not quite it, I looked :) 

Many trials and tribulations with this bike.  From the water/coolant fouled motor to realizing someone put a clutch basket from a cb550 in it to freaking out about a self-induced cranking problem.  I'm sure I said it before but thanks to everyone who helped form a technical standpoint as well as a encouragement standpoint.

Where you going for some nice rides on it? now that it's completely Road Worthy ? !  ;D
  You made it through lot's of trials w/ that bike and came out on the winning side and you saved it from being parted out by some one else;I'd always rather keep'em together myself,can't see how so many people keep taking apart complete bikes and just  turning'em into 'parts for $' . That kind of reminds me of an 'organ donor' business.  ::)  >:(  :'(
