I think it's funny that cb650's get chopper builds....I'm working on one two, but didn't buy a kit, I just bent up some tubes myself to make a ratty rusty bar hopper for fun. the frame is certainly a unique bastard to deal with, still seems easier to make one a chopper than to cafe it!

After raking the neck on my 80 CB650, my welder friend said he'd never work on a Honda again.

Also I guess I didn't really pay attention to the measurements of the frame and mine measures 9 1/2 inside diameter  for the rear fork axel and the stock equipment and measurement takes 10  in exactly do I need to get some new spacers / bushings or something

And when I do get the frame fully trimmed ready to weld is the motor going to go in easy or does it need to go in before I weld it up

This is hard to figure out how to word these questions without sounding totally incompetent I wish I could just clear up a lot of this over the phone if that is ok with you I would give you my number or whatever I am 33 yrs old pretty good artist and Iam a body man and painter can weld very good just am kinda perfectionist so I get to certain spots in things and like to have an example before I move forward you know looks like you really know what you are doing

for the motor question.....looks like the weld-on tail you have deletes the removable section of frame the cb650 has for engine install/removal. Without that removable section, you have to remove the oil pan, oil pump pickup, and the oil filter housing to install the motor. If you use one of your pictures above and use your "paint" program on your computer to draw lines of the dimensions you're after, I'll measure what the stock dimensions are on mine for your reference.
