Airbox Bowed Side.
« on: December 23, 2014, 08:19:57 AM »
I just went through cleaning up the stock airbox and join reassembly I found that the bottom section doesn't fully go into the top section and is actually bowing out. I have all the bolts and nuts tight but the side won't stay where it should. Anyone run into this before?

Yes several times.  I think mine warped over time.  I ended up getting a new on on Ebay.

Yes this is a common warpage.  Use a heat gun on the bowed part, coax it straight and hold til it sets again. If heat gun is another available use a hair dryer. Results vary on your skill.
