My 1982CB900F Cafe Racer

I sold my 1977 CB 550k a few years ago and needed another project so I bought a non running neglected stock CB900 and turned it into this little baby.

This is one of the few before pics I have. It doesn't look to bad here but it was very dirty and hadn't run for some time. I bought it for $600 which is very cheap for a bike in Australia and I have spent about 10 times on that original price.

Sorry about the blurry pic. no I haven't had it on the scales yet but it would be interesting to know the difference. I'm sure I have trimmed some weight of it but it's probably deceiving as well with the open middle section because I still have a big heavy battery it's just that it has been moved that the bike looks lighter than it really is.

very nice work but that bike could have lended itself to something much more era correct

I will try and dig up some good AMA Superbike footage ala Spencer and Merkel after Christmas dinner...merry xmas everyone who is so inclined

Hey, nice project there. Kinda wanted one of those myself, but never managed to find one I could do a deal on. Closest I got was an '80 CB750K.
