You need a tank bag that big? Kills the look. Can you put behind the seat?

With cooler weather coming, I need to be able to carry extra layers.    I think that a seat bag kills the look more than the tank bag.   This tank bag certainly does less damage to the "look" than a top case would, which, IMHO, is the most convenient and useful storage you can add to a bike.   I'll get way more use out of it with some carrying capability.    I won't have it on all the time, and will likely remove it when parked, which is when people will be looking at it anyway.   ;)

I am thinking about picking up one of the smallest tanklock bags to use when I only need to carry the essentials (phone, wallet, and a bottle of water), but, those cost almost as much as then one I got, and I couldn't justify both just yet.   I'll likely get the little one in the spring.

I bought the small bag. (4 liter) I had a DP side bag but did not use/like it that much so I sold it. This small Givi holds my essentials just fine. I don't ride far enough to justify large bags.

You have a lot of choices for luggage. Unfortunately I do not with my model.

I've already got Hepco & Becker (same as Krouser) C-bow "Street" bags for my V7 Racer.    I'm thinking about getting a set of mounts for the Duc as well.    They're pretty inconspicuous looking, and shouldn't spoil the look of the bike, while making it much more versatile for longer riding days, and colder weather (layers).

Got a road test in this morning and all is well. Nothing fell off, nothing broke.  ;D

Cleaned up the tail section with some sweet Italian part. The whale tail/beer tray gone. Thumbs up.

The drop in the front sprocket to 14 teeth is a big improvement around town. Thumbs up.

The Arrow exhaust is, well, just awesome. No back firing on de-cell. One heck of a time installing new exhaust gaskets. Thumbs up.

Rizoma rear sets always a good thing. Little adjusting of the pegs. Thumbs up.

New Dunlop Q3 tires. Boy, ride very nice, hardly feel the tar strips in the road. I'll give this a two thumbs up. Of course 8 year old tires had to go. Getting a set installed in Vegas on the Brutale this coming week.

ASV adjustable levers are sweet but the biggest "wow" factor is the Oberon Clutch Slave. (29mm) The pull is so smooth and easy. Wonderful, just wonderful. Might be the first upgrade to the Brutale when I get it home but would like to ride it first.  :) Would highly recommend this jas on your new Ducati if the pull seems hard. (not familiar with the model however)

Hope to get the Brutale by mid month.  ;) Really looking forward to the arrival. Fall is fast approaching and I can't wait for my riding season to begin. Already cooling off a bit.

I dropped the front sprocket to 14 from 15 on my 796 as well.

The stock gearing is 39:15 (2.6:1).    For reference, the 696 is 45:15 (3.0:1).   The change to a 14T, brings the ratio to 2.78:1, or about halfway between the stock 796 and 696 gearing.

With the stock gearing I had to be going over 80 MPH to use 6th gear, or it felt like I was lugging it.   On the other end of the spectrum, it didn't like going slow (think, between traffic lights, or in parking lots) at all, or even loafing along in traffic at 40 MPH, you couldn't find a gear it was happy in.    With the lower gearing, all is MUCH better.   It is, of course quicker off the line now too, not that it was lacking in that respect.ation too.   I did a 135 mile ride yesterday, with lots of elevation changes, and "spirited" throttle use, and got 47 MPG, up from 44-45 with the stock gearing.    So, I didn't lose anything there with the shorter gearing; it

Sounds like you are way ahead of me. Modifying already.  8) I agree, big difference in the bike but mileage going up is odd. You would think it would go down.

This is a handy chart.

Not odd at all.     I was running along in 5th at 70 MPH (a common cruise speed for me), where now I can use 6th at 70.      So, I really just made the effective gearing of my "cruise" speed taller.

If you were in 5 th gear and now 6 th gear then yes, makes sense.

Well, this one is done.  ;) with the exception of a carbon fiber hugger. Had to go with a different manufacture due to exhaust clearance issues.

Cooler weather is upon us but "other half" issues have taken away any riding time this month. Long story short three trips to Phoenix just this month. (450 miles round trip) She was in Hospital for eight (8) days. Looks like another trip next month.

Hello guys...

I'm looking to buy touring bags & case for my CB750 K3.
I want to preserve the 70's looks... would you mind posting pictures of the bags which you discuss in this thread, please?

Thanks in advance.
