Got Myself A Honda SOHC Twin
« on: December 25, 2014, 11:21:58 AM »
Did another deal with my Buddy, who I had gotten the CBX from previously. This time, I did some trading and ended up with a  nicely restored '66 CB77 Super Hawk and a '69 SL350K0 that he had been working on and just needs finishing up.

Thank You, I do appreciate that. Really intended to be back on here more. Just seems to be so much going on a d Time Flies! Still got a number of issues to take care of, to get things settled down somewhat. Yeah, kinda proud of my trade. Been wanting a Super Hawk since I saw my 1st one back in the early '60s.

That's cool, that you have the same 2 bikes, buddy. Only thing I might do to the Super Hawk, would be to setup the footrests and shift like I had o. My CB72 back years ago and swap the mufflers for megaphones. Now, I think I have enough CB77 parts, to build another one and if I do, I want to build it like the one I had, while in the Air Force, in Japan.

I hear ya Frank. My busy had even gotten a pair of "Reproduction" Air Cleaner Covers, paying about $200 for those.

Was just thinking I had not seen any posts by you for quite some time Bill.  I had a very nice SL350 but the kick start gears broke and I did not fee like fixing it so I sold it.  Back in the early 70s the shop I worked for sponsored Alfie Hendriks in the heavyweight enduro class.  He rode an SL350 and smoked all the other riders who were on  fancy European rides to win the year end championship. Quite a feat!...Larry

Yes, if has been awhile. Too bad about your SL. I have always had a liking for the SL350, since they came out. The K3 was dramatically changed, from the K0. Didn't realize the history. Thank you for that.
