So we had snow and cold in November, but the last couple weeks warm temps to 40 and snow is gone. Today 46 and had to get a bike out. Roads were good and we had a lot of rain the last week to clear salt off the road. It was great to get back on...

Glad you got out. Its been about the same here in NWI, which is surprising considering I'm in between two lakes. I'm pretty pissed that late October and November fooled me into putting off assembly. I should have kept at it regardless, would have been done by now.

Good to hear, Johnie! I was out for a short ride but it's beautiful and 70 degrees here, cold front tomorrow.
Curious - do your legs stay warm with just jeans under 50 degrees or do you have other cold weather gear?

You (north mid-west) can thank me for the current weather, AKA lack of snow. I decided to replace a small two-stroke, 20 year old snow blower with a new, larger snow blower. Last year's 100 inch winter was a b!tch for the little sucker. I'm supposed to do the first oil change after two hours of operation, which at this rate, may be January 2016.

. Here in VA they were freaking out about 12" of snow month ago so I put a blade on tractor and parked it ready for the driveway. I did not see a snow flake yet.

Stev-o...I wear insulated jeans which I use for hunting. No long underwear just those insulated jeans and my boots. Wind breaker, but with the jammer I do not get much wind. Even ran with the visor up today. My buddy had a BMW with heated grips and heated seat...I told him "I don't need NO stinkin' heaters!"

Nice here too, went for a Christmas ride on my Katana and Sabre. Didn't take the PC out because as long as the weather is over 30 with no chance of precipitation I ride it...Larry

They are predicting rain again tonight with 5 inches of snow in the northern part of WI. I am good with that

But they are saying temps in the 20's after that. Can't wait for another warm up and hope I don't have to wait long.

If it's the same cold front that rolled through here, brace yourself; only got up to 37 today, and it's 21 right now.

Ha Ha- I did the same thing over here on the west side of the state also Bob. Upgraded to a larger 8hp blower and luckily only have used it twice so far-- fingers crossed !

I test rode the 80 Yamaha XS850, it apparently goes at least 80mph, speedo was buried there. It was difficult to stay on the seat when I was bucking the wind. West central Illinois.

Hey Frank, it's about 4500 ft here. This is the most snow we've had here is a few years, but an inch or two once or twice a winter is normal. Now that the clouds have cleared, it's gotten even cooler; 14F right now, but the low yesterday was 23, and was 32-34 during the time the snow was falling.

The day after Christmas the weather here was in the high 40's so I took my 83 gl1100 interstate out for a ride too but wore regular jeans, it was a cool ride but not uncomfortable. The fairing makes all the difference because it would've been a chilly ride on the 750.

Our WI riding may be coming to an end. We are currently all grass in central WI, but 2 - 5 inches starting late Sat. night and into Sunday. Guess I better get out the skates again

Here is a pic across Lake Winnebago. Still a lot of open water out there. Usually by this time the guys are driving on it.

Any ice racing going on around there, Johnie? I have thought it would be a cheap way to have some motorized fun in the winter, but not much going on here in Michigan despite plenty of frozen lakes.

Sean...they do have ice racing around here. The big Otter Street Fisheree has ice racing on bikes and sleds, beer, brats, burgers, music, etc.

Scrap...I am in Oshkosh about 40 minutes east of Wautoma.
