As explained above, hard cases for me is a no no. I've seen them damaged and became useless. Hard cases will transfer the impact fully to the rack and cause extra damage there. Have a look what www.louis.de/en or www.polo-motorrad.com/en/catalogsearch/result/?q=leather+bags has to offer in leather and other bags. In their shops I've seen even more. Stylish, not that expensive and some made of sturdy Buffalo leather that will survive bad treatment like a fall. What's good enough for cowboys, is good enough for me. For less than € 10,- you can have extra rain covers. And... these bags can be repaired in any corner of the world.

Hepco & Becker still offers the complete luggage rack specifically made for any of the CB 750 Fours.
https://www.louis.de/en/artikel/h-b-komplett-traeger-rohrkonstruktion/10024432?list=36286133

I don't believe that anybody else does anymore.
I saw this too. E-mailed them, asked about adapters for my old Givi bags that were not available. No problems if I had to buy the complete set with new bags. I should order this from louis.de that are made for CB750 K0-K6.

Cost some.  € 339.95
H+B COMPLETE CARRIER
CB500/550F/750K1-6 CHROME
HONDA CB 750 FOUR K0-K6 (CB750)

But the NOS Givi Wingrack (blinkers included) with std mounting kit for any bike is not cheaper.

Krauser hard luggage. Algerian Sahara, August 1983.
WOW... that's loaded as a mule!  :o Poor bike!  :P
My parents did a similar trip in '73 (my mother as pillion) and that's the reason why I bought my K3 in the first place! Do you have any more pics of your desert "raid"? I'd love to see them!

Ascanio, I got lots of pics, but it was all slides back then. I will get some more printed. Then I post. The Honda did extremely well by the way. I, however, got pretty sick during the trip when I drank unfiltered water, not using purifier pills either (being invited into someone's home, I didn't think it was appropriate to pull the Katadyn filter out). These days, I would only do the trip ahead of an entire battalion. Neither Algeria nor Niger are safe and neither my California nor my US Army Europe license plate will get me much sympathy from the locals.

Wife in leather jacket in Sahara during the hottest time of the year: no room to put it anywhere.

Wow, coooooooooooooooooooooool! It has been my dream since I was 16 to do a desert raid! At one point, I was 20 something, I managed to convince a friend and we went with a Fiat Campagnola (Fiat's LandRover) but the shipper didn't prepare the "passage en douane" documents and the car got stuck in the port of Alexandria for 2 weeks. In the end we had to ship it back. I tried so many times to put together a group, even only one more friend... bike or car... Never happened. :'(

I don't want to go OT, perhaps you can post your pics in another board? If you do, please, don't forget to knock knock and let me know!

Ya hachu! Ya hachu! Ya hachu! (it's Russian, I'm hoping that my wife checks this forum!)  ;D

You're right, I had not forgotten your advice. In fact the only hard cases that I'm still considering are the Shoei and that's because they look the part... I find them really nice. Otherwise it's sissy back + soft (or semi hard = soft with internal structure) side cases.

I've got krausers on my airhead, and I have an extra set with mounting brackets that I'm thinking of either attaching to my 750K5 or selling. Those rear turn signals need to be moved.

On my trip last summer, I did without side bags even though I had a used pair of ballistic nylon ones. I went with a large tank bag in front and a weather proof duffel bag behind me. Nothing stuck out towards the sides so it was pretty good aerodynamically, and I could lean back and get a bit of support from the duffel.

... hmmm, sorry but I really don't like the looks of Krausers on a CB750K while I love them on an airhead. Besides, reading all of you guys great advice, I have come to the conclusion that soft (or semi-rigid) side-bags is the way to go for 2 main reasons:

PRO:
1. Protection:
In case of fall, w/out cases or with hard cases, the whole energy is transferred to the frame/support structure. Soft bags act a bit as a bumper.
2. Looks:
This is subjective and, apologies, I only like the Shoeis. All others would ruin the bike's look.

CON:
1. Rear back support:The hard rear/top case doubles as back support and is better looking than a sissy back rest

DRAW/EQUAL:
1. Detachable: there are both hard and soft detachable bags.
2. Rainproof: there are both hard and soft rainproof bags and, depending on year/model, both hard and soft options may need additional internal or external water-proofing.
3. Rear lights: both require repositioning.

This is by far the best solution but I can't use it because I travel with pillion (wilfe).

My really hard Shoei bags with chrome tubes around (photo in reply 7) worked as protective support when dropping the bike which happened once. No harm to the bike at all.
Same as these. Blinkers had to be removed when the bags had blinkers.

I remember a friend that had Krausers on his Kawasaki 1000R. He just snapped the cases off the bike when stopping at the hotel beside Autobahn or elsewhere in the countries around. I had to take out everything from my fixed old not removable shoeis. All clothes packed in plastic bags made it easier and drier. I really wanted Krausers too!!!

I bought Givi E34 later on when another guy sold his 3 bags. I did never attach them on my bike. I have just ordered a rack for them so that project might be finally done after 25 years. The Givi rack (E140) has also blinkers so the Honda blinkers will be removed with rack on.

At the end of a long day, there is no need to drag the dirty Krauser luggage into the hotel room: Krauser offers inside bags to perfectly match their luggage. And they come with shoulder strap too. So the actual hard luggage can stay locked to the bike.

As a side note: I don't see why people think that soft luggage protects the bike better than hard luggage: it does not. The Krauser luggage gives excellent protection. I know from personal experience. However, the drawback is, that they might crack. Again, personal experience when encountering an oil spill in a curve, in the Spanish mountains.

I really want to buy these blue ones for 225$. Do you think that you could drop an email to the seller telling him that I can't open his page and I'm willing to pay by PayPal?

In Japan I can't find this specific model (the fat hard sidebags) in good conditions: so far I found only 2 for sale, but one was without a lid and the other one was without the chrome bars.

I am also interested in the other (fat type) bags that I will post separately but only if the structure is good as I'm going to paint them any way in Sunflake orange.

I would really really appreciate your help! This forum already helped me to buy my CB750 K3 and I can't thank enough all the replies and help of all members!

put "Vintage Shoei Saddlebags" (or whatever) in the search bar at the top of the brick7 page and you get new search results that you can click on. after that even the links above will work and the page with the ad will open.
or just do a google search than you get hits from other sites/sellers as well.

jeez's i figured this out from the netherlands, don't even need to be in canada for that. welcome to the internet  ;)

Hm, I tried that with a Canadian and Dutch IP address using a VPN, and it still would not work for me either.

Switched browser, and it works after selecting a random location in Canada.

And you think that I had not already tried it before posting for help?
Of course I already tried, even with a fake IP.
Still won't work.
I also already googled the same phrases and words of that ad (including city, etc) but he only posted on Kijiji Canada, apparently. I got other hits on craiglist and ebay but for different bags.
If any Canadian could help I would appreciate...

When you get to the second page that you posted, select an area in Canada and continue. It worked for me that way--even with a Japanese IP address. You might have to have cookies enabled though.

The shoei bags for CB750 are sold, right?
These seems to be still for sale. Bags might be possible to fit CB750 too.

I remember that the mounting brackets were very adaptable on my old Shoeis I gave to my friends neighbour.

Unfortunately it does not work. I even tried from another laptop and from another ISP (friend's home). Then I emailed Kijiji and they confirmed what I wrote in my 1st post: they filter and block all contacts from outside Canada:
"Hello Tommaso,
Thank you for contacting Kijiji Canada Community Support. I'm sorry to hear you’re having problems.
Since Kijiji.ca is only a local Canadian classifieds site, if you are not located within the area you are posting in, you will not be able to contact the poster using Kijiji.ca.
Unfortunately we have no way of removing this block. The only suggestion I can make is to see if you know someone currently in that area that can assist you with this, or wait until you return to post and reply to ads.
We understand this can be frustrating, however we have this block in place to help us control the posting of (often spam and/or fraudulent) ads from outside the local area.
I am sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding, Tommaso. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. Have a good day!
