Hello from sunny Scotland
« on: January 03, 2015, 09:31:08 PM »
This is my second go at this, so not off to a good start.

Anyway, I've just bought what I think is a CB550K3, but mine was first registered in 1979 which is a bit odd, it also seems to have F exhausts fitted to it.

Chassis number - CB550K2025730
Engine number - CB550E2026451

The bike is in a terrible mess and is in need of a full restoration, I'll get some pictures of it the next time I'm over at my lock-up.

In the meantime, I'll be around asking questions and generally making a nuisance of myself.

Cheers
Andy

Oh gee, another Scotsman named Andy  ;)

Welcome to our world.

I'm sure Scottish Andy #1 will be along any time now. He's quite the character and world adventurer so you have much to live up to.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Cheers, Andy. By the way, there is also for your added benefit a UK sister site to this forum. Best to register on it with the same avatar for convenience. Those UK blokes get easily confused  ;)

Sunny Scotland? Don't tell where that is, the tourists will flog into your parts having unlocked the greatest mystery known to man-

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Thanks for the welcome.

I've joined the UK group with the same name, so should keep everyone happy.

As with most Scot's I have a crabbit disposition and speak fluent sarcasm, I'm looking forward to sharing both :)
