We have new next door neighbours in the process of moving in and it so happens they are bikers although their interest is in Brit (Triumph, BSA) and US bikes (HD and a 1920s something Indian). Anyhow, about a week ago he came and tore down the old corrugated asbestos fence and disposed of it, correctly.
Today he was back to remove a little more of the asbestos he couldn't get to last time.
Just before he starts work on the fence he goes to his car and comes back with a rack of carbs and says "Here, take these". I ikmmediately saw they were CB750. At the time I was installing new guttering and didn't get a chance to ask where the rest of the bike was. No problem though.
Check the pics. Seem to be missing main jets. The low speed are #40s. Two brass floats have been replaced with plastic ones and, yeh, the rack is broke. I couldn't make out any nimbers on them. Nice and clean internally with nothing stuck or frozen.
So what do I have?

Yes KO carbs.
Measure the choke arm, or show side shot with it folded down.
Check the tops for a number near the. Cable fitting, if it has it, it is cast in.

I welded one. Twice. What does the choke arm length tell us? I have a set from 1005511 a set from 10141xx and a set from 104xxxx i could check differences.

Early ones had longer choke arm. And if they have a number 28 on the tops, it's your lucky day..

Sometimes they are reasonable. I offered. Up a set here at 200 a few years back..no takers.
I may split up a set to use 2 carbs on a 350 twin. Did it before in the late 70,s.

Still can't find any numbers anywhere. Nothing on the tops.
Checked the cables and found they have two different lengths. According to Hondaman's book these were the last of the K0s - assuming they are original, and they look it but that's not reliable. I'll have a shot at repairing the rack.

The only number is on the top of the backplate. It will say B750A. They're identifiable just by looking at them, the number is just a formality, and it's not even on the carbs so it's a non-issue.

Choke lever looks like common version.

I do sell the backplates machined out of billet aluminum. The backplate is commonly cracked just like yours.

Thank you everyone for your input. In a nutshell I have K0 but not sandcast.
I think I'll do these up and put them away just in case. Ordered #115 mains from Yamiya today.

Stock for those carbs I believe should be #120 on the mains.

I was going by Hondamans book which mentioned #120 were stock for sandcast but the later "diecast" K0s, after 1970, they changed to #115.

I have seen Hondaman mention that but I have never bought anything with a #115 in it. Out of the 6 or more K1's or 1971 bikes for instance that I have bought even all of them had 120's which I believe is the suggested size for that year also.

Will do. He hasn't moved his stuff yet so it could be a while due to his work commitments, possibly Feb or Mar. Poor bugger is downsizing from a 5 car garage to a 3 car. He says his dirt bikes will have to live outside.

In one of the pics it shows two carbs with plastic floats. I would assume these came with brass floats. Would the plastic one have a different float height measurement? If so would they need to be adjusted using the clear tube method?

Brass are correct for the model, the synthetic ones are from a later model, but will still work fine and use the same setting: 26mm.

Using the clear tube method is up to you.
