750 K3 (Nov '72) period correct tool set
« on: January 03, 2015, 06:12:27 AM »
I need help to buy the right set of tools for my 750 K3 (Nov '72). I know that there were small differences in the number and type of tools in the set depending on the model.

Can anyone provide me a picture of the original tools which came under the seat of a K3 model?

Thanks dhall57.

I found this one for 90€ and it looks the same but I would prefer to find a used one. Anyone knows where I can find a complete, used and year correct set?

I have seen them for sale on E-bay but sometimes the price can be a little stiff, guys need a set for a complete stock resto. I noticed that Honda shows the tools and bag as still available new except for the plug socket and the 26mm spanner.
I got the original tool kit with my low mileage K0 and thought it was kinda cool that it even came with a couple of feeler gauges that slip in a small pocket on the bag.

As Eric stayed, most of the tools are still available.  One spanner is less than $2.

Where in Japan are you? Any close Honda Dealers??

Hi Steve-O,

I'm in Shibuya, Shotoh. It's almost right in the middle of Tokyo and thanks for the link, Steve, but I'm trying to find a used set with all 13 tools. I like it more & looks better used.  ;)

If I can't find a used, full 13 tool, set I could always buy the missing tools new.

If you ebay search tools, tool kit, tool set, etc.

Yes, I know, you can still find the original sets.
But I wanted a vintage set because it's more in style with the bike.
I just found and bought a complete, original set for 64$.
13 original pieces, plus the points measure and the pouch.
The black plastic screw driver handle is missing but I can buy that one new.
Thanks for your help!

I bought some new ones for my 750 K0 but they are slightly different than the original ones. No HM logo. I agree, they're perfectly functional but I want old ones to match the age of the bike.

I found a very good used set. Complete of all pieces for just over 60$.
But I also saw a prefect , Honda genuine, new, with HN logo AND the little metal plate to measure distance for points. I think 80$.
If anyone needs it, I can look for the link.
