Hi I had the CB350f powdercoated and they plugged all the threads.  Is there any areas on the frame that need to be sanded down to bare metal?

This is what I had powder coated.

Frame
Center Stand
Kick Stand
Triple Tree
Steering Stem Bridge
Fork Ears (2)
Rear Motor Mount
Horn Mount
Front Motor Mount
Foot Pegs
Speedo and Tach Mount
Airbox/Battery Box
Instrument Panel
Chain Guard
and Swingarm

here is some pictures if need

The motor-side of the frame-lug for the battery ground-strap............otherwise all is usually good but you may need to touch the mating surfaces of the swing-arm.  I see you did a good job of protecting the shock-bushings.....so I assume you did the same for the steering-stem.

Hi James, I am restoring a 1973 CB350F myself, starting with the powder coating of the frame components just as you have done in this post. I am a newbie, so would you please tell me what you mean by the "fork ears (2)" ?

Much appreciated. Also, did you have any trouble with the air/battery box ? Seems kind of delicate to me, and probably impossible to replace if damaged. I'm worried about the wire harness loops getting fatigued and breaking off. Yours look intact after the powder coating.

Was everything sand blasted first ?

 Thanks again,
 Gary

Not just the battery ground, but any electrical grounding points (coils, regulator, etc...). Most can usually be dressed up with a dremel quickly prior to installation of the part. A light coat of dielectric grease with help keep future corrosion to a minimum.
