Crushy Moves to Charlotte
« on: January 06, 2015, 06:36:08 AM »
Hey ya'll (my Boston accent is already fading),

The time came to leave my job in Boston for an opportunity with UNC Charlotte directing their digital fabrication labs. I moved most of my things south on Friday and started work Monday. It's definitely some exciting times and I am hoping there are some local riders floating around that would mind a new addition to their biker gang. Unfortunately the bikes have yet to make the move but it is in the cards soon.

Cheers!

P.S. this means points cover gaskets are on hold for a bit...

Need a better, newer points cover gasket? How about rubber washers for the headlight bucket? Click the link below:

Rick Lance is one of the best RG/ Gamma guys around, and he's in Asheville. He gave us his arguments for NC as MC paradise. He had the numbers of twisties compared to California where he was.

Less cops per capita. less people , better riding/

Wasn't Charlotte on the news for a tornado or something?

NC has the distinction of more paved mileage than other state in the US. It's actually farther from the east coast of NC than to travel from Charlotte to NYC. Go figure-
I see where that is said and also another interesting chart for the Texas Guys from 2009- you out there rolling Steve ?  http://blog.cubitplanning.com/2010/02/road-miles-by-state/

We used to ride bicycles down to Texas, and it is a lot easier to look at a map and plan to be in Galveston in a week. In reality you make a loop through Wichita Falls, DFW, Texoma and then home.
