Bought a set of new un-chromed Honda hm341 pipes from ebay.
The chroming company asked me if there's any filling in them that can contaminate their
plating tanks. I have searched for an answer with no luck. Is there any one here that can answer this??
Thanks in advance!

I don't think the 341s have any "stuffing", just chambers. I had a rotty old set rechromed, no issues with plating, but a sad story afterwards anyway.

Are the baffles in? How did you get dechromed ones? New repro's?

Hello!
They were listed as new but non-chromed, polished & ready for chrome or paint. baffles will be removed (3 was missing anyway).
The seller has a lot of different NOS stuff to old bikes, some stuff have "minor" defects, others are perfect.
I think they're a "newer copy" they are stamped exactly as the old pipes I have on my bike.  Diffuser baffle looks like the attached picture.
Thanks all!

In all these years I've never seen unchromed stock pipes. Can you send a link?

Hello.
No link to the exhaust I bought.
Here's a newly listed hm341 set un-chromed, these are un-polished!

Hmm - wonder where those are being made. Three of them definitely have a different than stock shape to the end of the pipe compared to the one more stock looking pipe in the picture.

Are they a lot cheaper?  Probably look cool and modern in a jet hot ceramic coating . And last longer than chrome.

Here is a set of 323's >  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201251882085?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649

I can not see why chromers have a problem with exhausts. All they have to do is plug up the holes.

That set pictured Frank was approx 400 pounds which should be around $606.00 US or 719.00 CAD if I did it correctly.
Be better if they all matched and looked the same though  ??

I would get them jet hot.  Forget the stupid chrome.  No worries about flaking chrome or constant cleaning.

Hi m13,
Have you fitted these to your bike? Any issues with the fitment?

The listing explanes possible "fitment tweaks" that should be done by "experienced professionals." Wondering if those are factory defective, and sold off as such?
