« on: October 09, 2006, 08:26:53 AM »
Was the 78 750F tank the same used on the 76?

I'm looking for a replacement for my 76.  What years used that same tank?

thanks.

Hi,
I replaced the tank on my 1976F1 with a CB750F2 tank (77-78), the only difference is the petcock you will need an F2 one.

You mean the petcock itself is different?  Is the petcock location the same?

The threaded spiggot on the tank is a different size, I think it is smaller on the F2, it is in the same location on the tank.
On the F1 petcock the fuel outlet points down and the F2 points back.
Click onto my gallery to see the F1 with different tanks, the red is original and the black is F2.

Cheers
